About the players on Keepers of the Flame:

Lloyd Maines (dobro, pedal steel) produced our “Mystery Ride” CD, (see bio below), but on “Keepers of the Flame”, he’s one of the main voices on the album, beginning with the first notes of “Fortunate Man”. Check out his “heavy metal pedal steel” on “Glen Oaks Blues”. In the years since “Mystery Ride”, he won a Grammy for producing the Dixie Chicks’ “Home”.

Bradley Kopp (producer, engineer, lead and rhythm acoustic and electric guitars) has played guitar for Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Iain Matthews, Eliza Gilkyson, Jimmy LaFave, Alejandro Escovedo, and many many more since first moving to Austin in 1981. His production credits include Iain Matthews, Jeff Talmadge, and Dirk Hamilton. He and Lorrie Singer released their debut album together, “Walk Tall” in 2005.

David Webb (keyboards) was the longtime keyboard player for Jimmy Lafave, has his own jazz trio in Austin, has played/recorded with Jimmy Lafave, Iain Matthews, Eliza Gilkyson, Tish Hinojosa, Sarah Elizabeth Campbell, Sara Hickman, and a whole lot more.

Glenn Fukunaga (bass) played on “Mystery Ride” with Edge City (see bio below). He plays regularly with Eliza Gilkyson and Terri Hendrix and was the bass player on the Dixie Chicks’ “Home” CD.

Freddie Krc (drums) has been the drummer for artists as diverse as Jerry Jeff Walker, Carole King, and Roky Erickson. He is also a fine songwriter and bandleader for the Shakin’ Apostles and the Freddie Steady Five.

Darcie Deaville (fiddle, mandolin) played on “Mystery Ride” (see bio below) and since then has released another solo album (“Darcie Deaville Plays The Fiddle And Sings”), written and performed a one woman play (“Tornado In Slo Mo”) that debuted in Austin, and performed off Broadway to a fine individual mention in the New York Times of her playing in “Woody Guthrie’s American Song”.

Jon Sanchez (lead electric guitar on “She Looks A Lot Like You” & “End of a Dream”) has played with Edge City since late 1999. He leads his own band “Summer Wardrobe”, who released their first CD in 2005. He has played guitar and recorded with Troy Campbell, Abra Moore, Trish Murphy, Ginger Mackenzie, Sara Hickman, and many more.

Lorrie Singer (additional vocals) spent 20 years in Boulder, Colorado, where she worked steadily in original and show bands and as a session singer (including a duet with John Denver). Originally from Houston, she moved to Austin in 1999 and she and Bradley Kopp released their “Walk Tall” CD in 2005.
