About the players on Mystery Ride:  
 


Lloyd Maines
has produced albums by James McMurtry, Robert Earl Keen, Butch Hancock, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, and Terri Hendrix, and has brought his instrumental prowess to albums by artists as diverse as Joe Ely, the Dixie Chicks, Uncle Tupelo, Wilco, and Guy Clark. He is Natalie Maines’ (from the Dixie Chicks) father and recently was given a plaque for the most appearances of any musician on Austin City Limits.

David Grissom was the lead guitarist for Joe Ely and John Mellencamp, played lead guitar on James McMurtry’s first three albums, and was a founding member of Austin’s Storyville. Lately he’s been the guitarist for the Dixie Chicks.

Paul Pearcy has played drums and percussion for Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Darden Smith, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Terri Hendrix, and Tish Hinojosa, among countless other Austin bands, and he produced Edge City’s “Ray of Light” CD and their two songs on “Ken Schaffer’s Safety in Numbers, Vol 1.

Glenn Fukunaga has played bass for Joe Ely, Alejandro Escovedo, Mason Ruffner, and Ray Wylie Hubbard, as well as playing bass on Bob Dylan’s “Series of Dreams”.

Darcie Deaville is a solo artist who has recorded for Rounder Records (with Gillman/Deaville) and whose “Tornado In Slo Mo” album on Redwing Records topped folk playlists throughout North America in 1999.

Chip Dolan has played keyboards for Tish Hinojosa, Bruce Robison, and the Mavericks. He coproduced and played and sang on Danny Britt’s “The Other Side”. He released “Right Here Now”, his first solo album, in 2006.
