• Originally from Baltimore, Jim Patton and Sherry Brokus relocated to Austin, Texas in the mid-90s, where they began working with musicians like Paul Pearcy, Gurf Morlix, Amy Farris, and Darcie Deaville.
• Edge City’s “Mystery Ride” CD, produced by Lloyd Maines, was released in 2000 and received airplay on over 175 radio stations throughout North America and Europe.
• “Mystery Ride” was named one of the “Top 50 Roots Rock CDs of 2000” by Geoffrey Himes, right between Steve Earle and Joe Ely in the alphabetical listing.
• Jim Patton has been twice chosen “Regional New Folk Winner” for the Kerrville Folk Festival
• Edge City’s music appeared on the soundtrack to the Troma Distributed horror film “Redneck Zombies”, starring longtime friend of the band Lisa DeHaven and recently released on DVD.
• Lloyd Maines, producer of Edge City’s “Mystery Ride” CD, was the producer of the 2003 Grammy-winning Dixie Chicks’ “Home” CD.
